The Netherlands faces major transitions. Technology, digitalization and sustainability are changing every sector, from healthcare to construction. At the same time, there is a severe shortage of technically and technologically skilled professionals.

Who will carry out the innovations? Who will make the transition happen?

Smart Makers Network connects companies, education, fieldlabs and government in Zuid-Kennemerland and the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Together, we work on a resilient, future-proof labor market for engineering and technology.

Smart Makers Network was founded in 2023 as a joint initiative of ROC Nova College, Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Smart Industry Fieldlab 3D Makers Zone, Smart Industry Fieldlab BouwLab R&Do, the Municipality of Haarlem and Industriekring Haarlem.

Together with companies and educational institutions, we take a practical, hands-on approach to solving labor market, training and innovation challenges.
